lol nerfing... hahahah... dude... i dunno i actually like what they did to the game... makes it entertaining... i remember being capable to farm ettins with a monk... and lol it ruined the economy... everyone had crazy crap that they didnt need... this makes the game how it should have been everyone closer to being equal... the whole nerfing minion master... most likely will happen they'l probably increase the degen... urm... man i just hate how the prices now are insane... 17k for ecto!?!??! my god just when i wanted to get a pair for my necro

I don`t think that the OP means he needs a guy for his energy. The thing is that he probably can`t handle after the update(not nerve, its an update) that the elementalists aren't always invited anymore.
I think he (and many others) are jealous that they cant find a group within half a minute anymore, but have to have patience and a little bit of luck.
Necros (and also mesmers and rangers) have had long enough that they werent invited because they were 'useless' and they are still now not invited very often.
Would you take away the pleasure which a death-necro finally can have, because you now need to wait probably a few weeks till a new build is discovered after this update?
After that, it will be all back to the old, and necros won`t be invited a lot anymore.
Let them have fun for a while and feel powerful.

Agree with the stop nerfing part, disagree with the 'farming is dead' comment.
It's far from dead. This is far and away the best step Anet has made towards
killing it, but the blow wasn't fatal.
For god's sake now Rangers can solo UW, sans prot spirit...

I would never call for a nerf on any other profession. enough with them already!
However, there is one small change I would like to see in reference to minion masters. Let me walk through them for goodness sake. Every grouped with a MM and been stuck behind 25 of them and unable to get to the target or even near it cast? I want to play too. :P

Well I play as a minion master, an I say no to nerfing!!
And yes I do farm with henchmen, only 1-2 times a week. But I only farm to test out different minion skills or take a brake from doing missions/quests.
Here' an example, I may take Animate Bone Fiend/Horror(may use both), & Verata's Sacrifice, or/plus Blood of the Master. The only down side is that after time my minions(4-6) start to degen faster if I keep them alive to long, or they die off if I don't heal them in time. So a minion master in this case is like a monk healer, got to keep his/her eye on the rest of the team or kiss them good bye.
Or Fiend, Horror, & Death Nova (which I don't really like that much), but in this case a player is using the minions a form of attack. Which will for a short time leave the player open for an attack, has he/she is casting the spell.
So these are may reasons why a minion matser should not get nerfed. That an there has been to much nerfing going now that players(that use any of the classes) may just leave the game, or anet should wait a month or to before chapter 2 comes out.

actually some skills for minions masters should be buffed ^^ like animate bone minions should have 20 energy instead of 25 energy and the type of horror coming out should be changed.
and while where at it bring in a summoning elite you can only have one of these critters but they dont die of degen only be taking damage and they can be as strong as a lvl 20 >.<

I agree. I'm still lost as to why you're complaining. You're not talking about PvP, so why bother? It's as if someone would call for the nerfing of solo monks. Players that use them will be pissed, people that don't use them couldn't care less. You seem to be determined to destroy a good build that you never play with or against. Im a straight up Nec. I use MM in ceratin areas and go Battery in others. I try and see all sides, but this thread has turned into trolling teatering on veiled insult, and not beneficial to improvement of the game.

Minion master is not overpowered.
He pays the price for the power.
1) You can have 8 Nuker in a team, you can only have ONE minionmaster in a team (at least if you wanna play proper with no twist and at full efficiency) .
2) Minion Necros are designed to be helpless at start, to overcome a time of weakness and THEN become more powerfull for taking this risk.
3) Obviously a deathnecro NEEDS bodies. If enemy necros are present on the battlefield your power can be halved with ease and you might need a time to raise your power again and keep the AVERAGE damageoutput (see 2) on a good level.
4) Holy damage messes your minions. A simple retribution is a pain on your fiends.
5) playing a proper deathnecro is not plain at all. Instead of clicking on the enemies you care for your babies. It takes micromanagement, exact watching your minions health, placing deathnovas...sacrificing them right after you buffed a full degen minion. using healthoverflow for another sacrificespell..etc. Maintain the horde. it just SEEMS to be simple.
I mean whats the point about this exalted, elevated art of using those nuking eleskills ? press "c","1","2","3", damage, cry for bip, blame the monk and repeat this stupid loop ? lol, thats the stereotype arrogant wizzards point of view, who never tried to play a necro himself (for lack of curiosity? maybe fear to identify with anything else than the "I-echo-meteorshower-I-damage-king-muaha"-consciousness). Im just kidding, i play and love all classes, ele too.
Dont cry for nerfs everytime YOU are not able to play ANOTHER class with the same efficiency as the one you want to be nerfed. Start thinking of how another profession/combo can beat the dps of the profession you wanna nerf.
I think minion limitation, degen and all the stuff has been discussed by the devs over and over again. Those people have developed diablo2-necro who could have static, later unlimited minions (lack of bodies) and have a lot experience on this topic. Hell you could go to your kitchen, cook coffee or chat and return after 5 minutes to pic up your drops. THIS was plain.. I think its ballanced the way it is in GW.

Minion masters are already nerfed in PvE.
They depend on bodies, which are amazingly absent otr lacking in the later game (Jades, Titans)
The minions are uninfused (die in instants to mursaat)
The minions are very vulnerable to anthing with area effects (burning form titans, AoE from hydras and so on).
Yeah, they are good for a few parts of the game, but try taking a minion master through the game and you'll see it isn't easy. It's a breeze vs plentiful corpse providing opponents without AoE damage. It's horrible when you get stuck facing nothing but jades, elementals, titans and the like.

The consensus here has it right, MMs require other support henchies or real peeps to be effective in PVE meaning this build is not overpowered. PVP shouldnt even enter the discussion because of the number of holes that can be exploited.
This build is only uber great in the SOF the holy damage in the mobs in UW counter this build and the time to make this overpwering makes soloing unlikely at best in any case.

MM rock in PvE, I don't think there over powered and they have to have dead bodies in PvP to be truly effective, I say keep them as they are.

Just by reading the bloody first line I can make out your one of those cookie-cutter fire eles trying to feel better by nerfing all other classes. Well I have a ele as well and guess what? Im actually happy about the updates and believe GW is going the right way. Please learn how to play a game and adapt to the dynamic nature of it before sugesting such "______"
